Columbia University Information Technology (CUIT) is pleased to announce a new AI Literacy Training Program designed for faculty, researchers, and administrative leaders. The program will be offered from May through August. The training includes two tracks - Basic and Advanced - each consisting of two one-hour sessions. Sessions will be held via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with multiple enrollment options available throughout the summer. As course content is consistent across all sessions, participants need only register for one session. There is no cost to attend.
Participants will gain practical experience with AI tools, including prompt engineering, security considerations, and workflow integration. Office hours will be available for those seeking deeper engagement. The program will also feature cross-campus “Lunch & Learn” sessions to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Instructional faculty may connect with the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), which offers hands-on clinics, course design workshops, and AI resources. More information and registration are available at: https://ctl.columbia.edu/events/
This training is intended for Columbia University faculty, researchers, and staff. We respectfully request that students and other university affiliates refrain from registering
